The Social Welfare Institutions continuously encourage voluntarism and provides opportunities for volunteers. Individuals are involved in the hands-on tutoring and caring for children, mainly through extracurricular activities, play, after school homework, health care and social programs.
The spirit of voluntarism is an expression of an enlightened self-interest to serve others, bringing benefits to individuals, the society and the volunteers themselves.
Furthermore, SWI encourage the private sector to strengthen its participation in social responsibility programs and activities, through capacity building, experience sharing, donations and contributions as well as voluntarism.
